My newest Etsy addition

Since it's been months since my last post, I wanted to make a quick entry with my latest Etsy addition.  I have started to make my signature owls out of fabric.  In the picture below, I have used my first owl, Dottie, on a onesie.  (More patterns coming soon!)  I'll also be creating children's t-shirts, green bags, and even aprons.

Happy New Year!

One of my resolutions (or, as I like to call them, "goals") for this year is to set aside at least 1/2 hour each day as "creative time."  I've made a promise to myself to explore my creative side and further my potential as a crafter and artist.  That might sound lame, but there you have it. ;)  I also promise to update this blog more regularly this year.  I'll share my Etsy updates (btw, I added a few more baby hats to my shop today) as well as some of the things that inspire me and my creativity.  So, here's to a creative and exciting 2010!  Cheers!

When one door closes, another one opens...

I have been an instructor at Pages In Time for nearly 6 years.  That is one of the things that I am going to miss most when our store closes.  I love to teach.  I will be teaching my last "PIT" class this coming Monday night.  It is very bitter sweet.  I have so much fun with my girls and look forward to that night every month.  I am going to miss them.  Don't tell them, but I have some surprises planned...

Since I will soon be without a physical classroom, I decided to start a new blog to showcase my class kits - and maybe try some online classes.  Completed projects will still be available for purchase at my Etsy shop, BurrygirlDesigns.  So, stay tuned for more details! ;)
